Dinosaur eggs at Moeraki beach
Some seriously bizarre and unique rock formations can be found scattered up and down Moeraki beach, on the south coast of New Zealand’s southern island. Some of them have cracked open, giving the appearance as if they are giant eggs where something has burst out from within.
In reality, these spherical rocks are completely natural, and range in size from a few dozen centimetres, to over 2 metres in diameter, and have taken several million years to form.
