An elderly Hindu man sitting on the banks of the Ganges. This characteristic fellow is in the heart of the Ganges, sitting on the steps that lead down to the Ganges river, holding an umbrella to shade him from the harsh midday sun. I absolutely love this photograph as his face and composure tells such a story, combined with that deep stare in his eyes. In order to get this photo, I went up to the man and kindly asked if I could take his portrait. The man accepted, and I gave him a donation for his troubles.
